Description

OooOOHHH MA N I HOPE I DID ALL OF THIS OKAY :iconpapmingplz:
EDIT: OH SNAP SON I DID IT-

For :iconyoryyntel:!! ;o;

--------------------

Name: Hyel Cho’Yuen

Gender: Female

Age: 20

Race: Abeybalgau

Gear City: Gue’Chai (Near the northern border, towards Lirille.)

Personality:

Hardy, cheerful, and dedicated. Those are a few words to describe the Abeybalgau. Hyel sports a robust air in everything she does, and she tackles tasks, ordeals, and people with a firm (and sometimes blunt) sense of honesty. She is easy to read and understand, and rarely keeps anything away from anybody.

With that said, while Hyel does everything with energy and enthusiasm, she is surprisingly fussy with money and time management. If things don’t work a certain way with her, she ends up getting a bit irritated – and if things continue to go out of hand, the Abeybalgau can become dramatically (and a bit comically) vexed. She can get her head a bit too involved with her plans, and has a tendency to overlook glaring occurrences when she thinks about what she needs to do. (“Alright, if I get this done today, then all of tomorrow I can- What? There’s a holiday today?! Who decided to throw a holiday today?! Aaagh!-“)

Occupation: Restaurant worker (Her workplace is a bit far from home, and she wakes up early to go to work every day. She doesn’t mind it, though she should consider getting a companion for easy traveling…)

Companion: N/A (“Maybe. It’s a big maybe,” she’d say. To this day, she is considering getting a companion – and she certainly has the funds to not only support, but spoil one. However, she is set on saving her money, and doesn’t seem as if she will own a pet anytime soon.)
Story:

(“I’m pretty sure I was found in a basket by the sea. Or was it by a river? Ha ha, I can’t remember. Though I definitely remember having a rough tide out there. ... Tide. Time. Get it? Okay, anyway!...”)

Hyel was raised by an odd pair of friends who shared a small house in Lirille; namely, a female human and a male mouse-like Cheka. The human – Myung – was a modest farmer and craftswoman, while the Cheka – Gi – was a hardy trader with a Luipane companion for traveling purposes. The two started living together in order to save up for a grand trip to Urul at one point or another… a plan that was halted when Hyel was introduced.

Neither of them shared how they found Hyel (though the Cheka liked to make up stories and jokes on the whole ordeal), but they raised her to the best of their ability. Gi and his Luipane never stayed home for too long and spent most of their time flying to the busier side of the city for business means; that left Myung to care for Hyel.

Hyel grew up to be an energetic and cheerful Abeybalgau, and spent most of her days learning how to farm and exploring the meadows and woods around Lirille. She never hesitated to call Gi and Myung her parents, nor did she pause to consider the residents of Lirille as anything but her family.

Such times lasted well into her teenaged years until, one day, Gi went missing.

The Cheka declared that he was going to try going to Khayun for more business – something that would push their savings enough for a trip to Urul – and never returned. After a month or so waiting for Gi to come back, Myung took Hyel, their belongings, and their hard-earned savings in order to make a trip to Khayun themselves. The human hoped to find her friend by Khayun’s busiest merchant port, and she and Hyel lived in a small apartment for a few years… but they never found him.

(“You know those Khayun folks? Think some of them act the way they do because of all the sealife they’ve got? You know, how they act all fishy and stuff? Ha ha!... Come on, it was a joke!-“)

With the small amount of time that they had in Khayun, Hyel started to grow a taste for a livelier life by the ocean. Hyel worked in taverns while Myung searched for jobs akin to agriculture, though the human never found a steady pay in any of the jobs she found. Gi’s Cheka-esque way of being blunt and Myung’s gentle mannerisms made Hyel a lively and semi-popular character to be around – though not even popularity earned the Abeybalgau and the human a comfortable stay in Khayun.

As a final resort for peace, Myung moved once more to Gue’Chai with Hyel in tow. The human had all but abandoned her hopes of finding Gi and her trip to Urul. While she began a quiet and secluded life along the outside edge of Gue’Chai, Hyel firmly decided to work towards the human’s dreams and set out to work.

And so we arrive to today.

Quote: “Right, okay. But anyway!...”

Alliance: Neutral (“Nothing too concerning’s happening!”… Says the woman who forgets holidays and anything blatantly important beyond her own agenda.)

Additional Notes:

    - Hyel’s last name was Gi’s. Myung never shared hers, and in any case, the Cheka and the human didn’t mind her using one name over the other.

    - Myung lives a mile or two away from Hyel. She’s a teeny old lady who plants things and chases kids away with a cane. She rarely goes outside, but oddly enough, she doesn’t rely on Hyel for things. (NPC??? NPC. Or something-)

    - Hyel doesn’t hesitate to regard anybody she’s close to as family. That includes frequently seen people and customers. (That’s what having a Cheka parental figure and a warm Lirille lifestyle does to some people.)

    - Somebody lost a family member? Bam. Instant Hyel to offer tight hugs and support. Pet gone missing? Instant Hyel. Can’t find your favorite clothes? Instant Hyel. Had your things stolen? Instant Hyel, with a ladle for anybody who dared to lay a hand on your wallet. She doesn’t take loss well, especially if somebody close to her lost something.

    - Since one of her parents owned a Luipane, Hyel knows that keeping a pet means being responsible – and assertive, considering that the canine-like companion only listened to those with strong personalities. (Though assertiveness might not apply to all pets… not that she is aware of this.)

    - To branch off of her indecisiveness with companions; while she’d love to own a Luipane as her father did, she doesn’t know if she has the space or funds to take care of one. However, a smaller pet wouldn’t “nearly be as fun” as a larger one, and she has to consider how much time and attention she can give to a pet… The list of concerns goes on and on.

    - She adores flowers and nature, and will treasure items made of such things.

    - Hyel is aware of her androgynous build, and makes sure to wear plenty of feminine things to make her gender obvious. (That, and boy, she really does love flowers!)

    - While omnivorous, Hyel prefers plants and fruits over meat. She spends little on food, oftentimes buying tons of fruits and vegetables in bulk and eating them as they are. (She will not, however, eat rotten plants at all.)

    - Outside of work, Hyel likes to carve small wooden object (namely masks) and own flowers. She makes these things very slowly, mainly because she doesn’t spend too much time at home. The wooden bracelet she wears is something she made when she moved to Gue'Chai.

    - Hyel is saving up money to make a trip to Urul – something that her parents never got to accomplish. Whether or not she actually goes through with it has yet to be seen.

    - She thinks she is A TOTAL GENIUS with water puns, and that she is an absolute hoot around merfolk and Siikri. Please feel free to smack her lightly whenever she makes these godawful puns-

    - These are a lot of notes oh my g Od;;

And yEAH; There's a flatcolored version of Hyel right here!! ;v;
